Our premium pellets are made from wood-processing side-streams. No virgin tree is harvested for producing pellets. Ever.

Unlike many pellets-producers, with our integrated pellet production, no extra transport is needed for our wood raw materials in producing pellets. We take responsibility for the entire sustainable supply chain, without any unnecessary transport! And without any harmful emissions.

For each tree harvested for sawmilling, Stora Enso plants 3 new ones. And since our premium pellets come only from sawmilling by-products, pellets never deplete forests!

Heating an average-sized house with premium pellets instead of natural gas can save 2,7 tons CO₂ annually. This is the emissions-equivalent of driving a new car from Stockholm to Rome, and back -- over four times!
